Atlanta rapper Rudolph Johnson, known as Lil Marlo, dies
Atlanta rapper Rudolph Johnson, known as Lil Marlo, has died at age 30.
Quality Control Music, the music label for the rising star for the last three years, paid respects on Instagram featuring a picture of Rudolph "Marlo" Johnson with the #RIPMarlo hashtag.
Kevin "Coach K" Lee, Quality Control Music's chief operating officer, posted of photo of himself with Lil Marlo on Instagram, writing, "You always had a smile on your face when we talked. If only everybody could’ve seen the pureness of your heart. This is such hard thing to do RIP Marlo. Prayers to your kids & family."
"So Much Potential That The World Didn’t Get A Chance To See. Love You Bro. It’s Really Hard For Me To Say RIP," Pierre "Pee" Thomas, Quality Control's chief executive officer, wrote on Instagram.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office confirmed to NBC News that on Sunday morning a deceased individual by the name of Rudolph Johnson had been brought in during the last 24 hours, which followed reports of the rapper’s death. The cause of death has yet to be determined, the office said.

Atlanta police Sgt. John Chafee confirmed to USA TODAY that at 11:30 p.m. Saturday officers found a 30-year-old driver dead from a gunshot wound inside a car alongside the I-285 highway. The preliminary investigation indicated the car was traveling on I-285 when the driver was shot, and the car came to rest off the southbound lanes.
Police declined to identify the driver as the investigation continues.

Lil Marlo's Quality Control Music debut was "2 the Hard Way," with Lil Baby, followed by "The Wire," "9th Ward God," "The Real 1." This year's “1st and 3rd,” featured appearances by Future, Young Thug and Gucci Mane.
Rapper Lil Yachty, 22, captioned a photo on Instagram: "We just did a song (at) 4 this morning smh rip brother @lilmarlo_1 😔."
Rapper Meek Mill tweeted, "Rip lil Marlo prayers to his family!"
On Father's Day, Lil Marlo paid tribute to his children on Instagram. "Thanks For Making Me Y’all Father I Wouldn’t Trade Y’all For Da World," he wrote.
